I went to the 'Songs from Childhood' concert in St. Edwards School recently. The event was well planned and well run, with good ticket management, refreshments. There were several choirs of young people, maybe 50 or 60 singers, and a chamber orchestra, so not a trivial enterprise to run, but the logistics were really very good. The music was wonderful - I had never heard of Arlo Part - and this will be an experience all the young singers will remember.
Special mention for the conductor, energetic, firm, and very supportive and encouraging, and the BSL signer dealing with Estonian as well as English, and giving us a short course in signing for one of the songs !
