Signed up for an access to HE course and an information session call was scheduled, I got reminders too, and didn't receive a call from anyone. Called to reschedule and got another date, but again, I got no call from anyone, no email, nothing. I understand if something went wrong the first time, but to forget twice is saying something. Will be going to another college. At least the person I spoke to on the phone to reschedule seemed nice, but still, it's a really bad reflection on their abilities and organization to miss twice.

The college is in an idyllic setting that you would struggle to find anything comparable, it really gives an agricultural feel as soon as you enter the premises. The courses the college offers are unique and well-taught, with great facilities for teaching such as the animal zone and motor vehicle building. Overall it is a nice college with good tutors, who make it near impossible to fail. However a key element that is missing is a good transport system. The transport into the college is either via a college ran minibus service which only picks up from a few select location, or the select bus service. The select bus service is incredible expensive, going as high as £6.95 for a ticket if you live somewhere further out like Bridgnorth. As someone who is moving to Bridgnorth this year, I feel as though sadly I won’t be able to continue with the course because of the outstanding price point. It’s a shame that they don’t have more affordable options of transport for lower income students, or alternatively offer a coach service.

My daughter went to the college and found it a really good experience. She made some good friends whilst there; it's just a shame we couldn't afford for her to take up her place for her foundation degree. The small zoo they've got there is really good and the animals are well cared for. I've been told the agricultural and horticultural studies are very good too.

Reached out to the main contact re. 14-16 courses, who seemed overly hung up on whereabouts we lived. Felt very much like she wouldn't even entertain an application and was being oddly guarded about the whole process. Never heard from the college again - appalling unwelcoming attitude.

I started a course last year in May.
When I started the lady didn't know I had applied to do the course. I did not get told what I needed to have with me as in equipment. I also did not get told I needed a placement before the course started. If I did not have a placement I can't carry on which is shocking. I tried to get my money back and they said no. I have said to people don't apply to do a course there. It is bad!

I came here for two years and I never learnt anything. I got bullied there but the teachers didn’t do much about it they would only tell them of and that’s it. I think the teachers were rubbish they would only blame me for everything. I wouldn’t recommend this college to anyone I’m so glad I left the college because my mental health was getting bad every day and I was sick of the teachers blaming me all the time also if you have a autistic child don’t send them to this college.

The worst level of teaching i have ever experienced, no structure to lessons and
cruelty from teachers towards the animals. Do not waste your money as an adult learner, the college does not offer the teaching service it is selling.

Been a student at southstaffshire college been a amazing experience working with the staff and animals in practicals. Staff are very friendly and always help you with anything if they can. I've done 2 years and it's been absolutely fantastic journey I recommend this to anyone who wants to do animal care and other course such as construction. It is worth it.
