I was medically discharged from the Army in 1982 and have bounced around several groups purporting to help Veterans. I wish I had found The Armed Forces Community Support Hub years ago they are led by 2 great guys who being veterans themselves know what we need. Unfortunately I can’t attend as many meetings as I would like due to my ongoing medical problems, but we (my wife and I) are always treated as long lost friends.

The Hub is a great place to meet other veterans and share stories and problems over a cuppa or a bacon roll. The staff are wonderful from the office to the volunteers, nothing is too much trouble and they will always take the time to listen and help. It's brilliant and a life saver for many.

I have known about the hub for many years but never thought I would need them. Last year I was at a low point and having been reminded of the Hub by the job centre. When I met up with Mark it was like only yesterday that I'd last seen him. My hat is off to Mark and Gary they didn't faf about and got me the right help and got me squared away. Meeting other like minded ex service's is a breath of fresh air. Love meeting up at the GMC especially for the laughs, bacon buttie (have to cook it myself with Geoff though). Thanks gents/ladies.

The Armed Forces Hub is a lifeline for many ex service personnel some of whom can only communicate with other ex service personnel. Time spent in the services brings you into contact with many things that the majority of civilians will never see in their own lifetime. It is a fantastic initiative and has undoubtably saved a lot of lives that might otherwise have been wasted.

After leaving in 1998 after losing an extremely hard selection career in 29 Commando regiment. From then to now. I was in my own world hating the armed forces for medical forcing me out screaming.

Being advised by medical doctor about the services hub. Was another probability amongst the rest.

After meeting Mark and Gary at the HUB Hq My whole world was turned around in one day. With the words

Your not alone. Join us and others at coffee morning every Tuesday and Thursday.
