I went to the lifeboat station on Sunday the 1st Novenmber with my granddaughter, who took a jam jar and a marmalade jar full of 5ps plus a £5 note for the lifeboat fund, totalling £43. Although she lives in Devon, she now has a group of people in from someone who felt guilty that they hadn't managed to collect many 5ps.
