Totally disappointing. The Parliamentry ombudsman service directed myself to cloverleaf after hospital neglect case wad admitted by the hospital. The ombudsman was really helpful in solving my case but cloverleaf let me down badly. The worker supposedly helping me didn't turn up for appointments. I then discovered many weeks later that she was sick but cloverleaf didn't let me know. When I asked who was going to take over my case they said they would be in touch and nothing from them 3 weeks on.
How this organisation can do this to people who are struggling with real issues is beyond me.
I still need help but thankfully social services have picked me up and hopefully I'm in the right direction. The ombudsman who helped with one of my cases is aware off the fares of cloverleaf and is making enquiries now about the conduct of cloverleaf

One of their advocates, whilst she was working for Rethink, let someone down. She did not advocate, but stood by and watched as an applicant had an unconditional offer rescinded from the University of Hull, despite having gained occupational health clearance for the same course at a different university, that she could not attend due to Hull's admissions tutor having changed the status of her offer to unconditional on the UCAS system before having rescinded it. The applicant had been working as a care assistant whilst studying for an MA, and had no sickness absence. She had to pay to take her house of the market and claim JSA. She is officially classed as being well thick and unbelievably ignorant, not even good enough to do data entry without support and retraining, despite having two postgraduate degrees from Russell Group universities. If she explains that to medical professionals, they accuse her of being delusional- that's why she required an advocate, as arrogant, postcode prejudiced, ableist mediocre middle class professionals would not listen to her. If you want an existence worth having, do not have her as your advocate, as she is beyond useless.

The advocate told me my sons rights were being breached by both education setting and social services but couldn't do anything about it. They have now just sent a letter through the post to him to say their service is ending in 2 weeks. They havnt informed me.

When I was a detained patient my advocate Michael who was from cloverleaf was so very helpful & supportive. I was a service user rep so could speak for myself but Michael was very helpful offering me advice and support when I asked for or needed it. He even said if when I was discharged and ever thought about volunteering with cloverleaf with a view to full time work with the organisation than he would sponsor me. I got a conditional discharge four years ago & released on life licance 3 years ago. I am a service user consultant and an as hoc locum with c.q.c.And the administrative justice tribunals service,A member of N.sun I have had a lot of help and support over the years so it's good to be able to give something back firstly as a service user rep/consultant. But my ultimate goal has been to join train and work as a mental health advocate with cloverleaf who were the first advocacy service to offer training . I would give them 10 out of 10.
