I visit RV Painswick as a performer, I play at quite a few care homes and retirement villages. RVP is situated in a very pretty location. I perform in several locations on the premises, so I believe I have seen quite a lot of the place. It is well maintained throughout with very pleasant decor. As a visiting performer, there is no need for the staff to be particularly pleasant to me... I'm not employing them... And yet everyone I have encountered there has been pleasant and helpful, which speaks volumes to me. I think the highest recommendation I can make is to say that should I ever be looking for a retirement village for myself, I would definitely be including Painswick in my shortlist.

This is a lovely retirement village. Looks more like a hotel than a retirement home. The stone buildings and gardens are very well kept and exudes a very calming, light and airy feel. The interior design and furniture, especially the restaurant, has been very well thought out and looks fabulous. Food is delicious and there's a lot of choice on the menu. The only thing which spoils it all is the state of the courtyard. It is drab and depressing even on a sunny day...needs updating and cleaning.

My Mum has lived at Richmond Villages in Painswick for more than a year now - initially in her own apartment and now in the care home. Its a lovely place and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are excellent too - highly recommended.

I am a performer & I have been to lots of places, this has lovely Cotswold stone building with outstanding decor to each room. You are greeted very warmly, clean and tidy everywhere. The residents are treated with the most respect and care is outstanding .

I have visited Richmond, Painswick on many occasions and have always found the highest standards and very friendly and helpful staff. I have often spoken with residents and found them very happy there. I was very pleased to have won one of the competitions; the prize was a wonderful afternoon tea for myself and my husband which we very much enjoyed. We were shown round the fantastic facilities and also a flat for sale which we were very tempted to follow up - but maybe we're not quite ready yet!

I have been providing monthly musical entertainment for two years.
The home is top-notch.
Very well appointed.
The staff are polite and caring.
The residents are clearly happy and content.
As a result, I always look forward to my appearances there.

My mum Mrs Stunell stayed at Painswick last week. She found it all to be really excellent there. The food was first class and the staff were very kind. Everything was clean and lots of attention to detail. She couldn’t fault it. Thankyou

A definite 5 star rating!
I spent 3 days/2 nights here on a 'Richmond experience' to try out whether it's right for me.
I had a very warm welcome from all staff and a beautiful suite to stay in with a little balcony with a view of the hills.
The meals were delicious, and catered well to my dietary needs, it was like a 5* restaurant.
Although just off the A46, I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was and also dark at night.
Carparking is a bit limited at times it seems but if resident you have your own allocated space.
The spa was very clean and quiet enough to enjoy, along with a great range of exercise classes including some gentle enough for me to join in.
The gardens are beautiful, with some flat parts to walk in. The residents I spoke to seemed to be very happy here.
All in all it was a wonderful experience.
