I attended a '99p Film' event. The building was warm and comfortable, clean, including the toilets. Plenty of parking (it was a Sunday afternoon and early evening. I am not sure about accessibility for some as there were stairs, but I may have missed the options. Photo is of the meal provided by 99p cinema organisers.

£300,000 refurbishment, freshly painted outside, could be a 'Cornish Cream' colour.
New carpets and flooring fitted, toilets redone. Upstairs rooms looking very smart. New lights now fitted in main hall, multicoloured. Also extra power points. Excellent new floor now in place in the hall. Looks very good, great for ballroom or sequence dancing. A new parking notice has gone up so perhaps changes coming?

Camborne Community Centre has the Citizens Advice Bureau, Coodes Solicitors and Barclays Bank drop in sessions hosted there as well as meeting rooms. I am a wheelchair user. There are two disabled spaces either side of the entrance door which is around the back of the building. As of late 2023 when I went, the markings have nearly completely faded away. The entrance is without a lip but each of the two manual doors are quite narrow so it is impossible to self propel a manual wheelchair unless you use the door frame to pull yourself through. There is a lift to each floor but it is quite small to the extent that I had difficulty getting my wheelchair into it. There are two doors to the lift and it depends on which rooms you need to access as to which door you have to use, you have to keep the button of thr floor (marked with the room numbers, not floor numbers) that you want to get to continually pressed for the lift to keep moving. The corridors are quite narrow as well as some of the rooms being fairly small. I have a compact electric wheelchair but use my manual one as it is easier to spin around and I don't think a full size one would fit easily in either the lift or some of the smaller rooms/offices. I appreciate it is an old building and I think they have done the best they can. There is a good sized and clean disabled toilet. I haven't used the larger rooms shown in another review.

The centre was very clean and hygienic. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived with my mobility scooter and they allowed my to plug in to get charge for journey home. No queues. I was seen within 5 minutes. The nurse was very efficient and kind. Staff at the entrance were very helpful and friendly. The staff at reception was able to help if someone didn't have their code, he allowed me to put my mobility scooter on charge, so I could get home. He was very aware of his environment, ensuring social distancing was maintained and people sanitized their hands.
The nurse showing people to their sheets was very helpful and friendly, as well as being very vigilant, she knew exactly who was due to go next, which cubical was free, which cubical needed more vaccines. Didn't rush anyone and kept an eye on me for fifteen minutes after to make sure I was ok.

Under major redevelopment to building facade, currently being used as vaccination centre. However has other rooms in use. Car park but this provides parking for ancillary buildings on site, so can be busy. Tonight visited the main sprung floored hall. Excellent for the sequence dancing taking place.

Had my covid booster jab which I am very grateful for but there were lots of unmasked people inside one room. No, that is not the fault of the staff but NO windows were open. Even the nurse actually removed her mask to talk to me! I asked her to put it back on. She did then proceeded to keep touching the outside of it. She did gel her hands a few times yes but it seemes a bit pointless on its own. I wonder why the UK has such a high Covid death rate 🤔 Having to risk catching Covid to get a very overdue vaccine which takes a while to work and won't necessarily protect you against newer variants is ludicrous - especially when such simple measures like N95 masking (wearing it PROPERLY) and opening windows could make all the difference. A very uncomfortable experience.
