Mashallah! A nice clean mosque in a small village a few miles from Durham.

We attended for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 prayers, while vacationing at a Cottage over an hour away. I WhatsApped a week in advance to confirm location and timing and then again on Monday. Was informed 10:30 am.

After driving for over an hour from Weardale through unfamiliar roads, and having parked at the very convenient free hotel car park across the road, my elderly 87-year old Father and I entered the masjid at 10:15 am.

It was unfortunate and disheartening that Eid prayers had already been conducted and the Khutba was ending. I am still unsure why I was told 10:30 am when the prayers must have started before 10:00 am.

Perhaps it was a typo? Perhaps just eagerness in the excitement of Eid. Eid Mubarak brothers and sisters!!

Me and my father came from London and we couldn’t find a masjid up until we saw on Google this masjid and by far the best hospitality and treatment we got from the uncle and brother. They even gave us drinks to refresh ourself. May Allah reward them.
