After playing badminton for years and training on and off I decided to really commit to proactively improving my singles game. Training with Lydia has been fantastic and has really helped to build up my technical skills, shot quality and endurance, each week building up the difficulty and combinations. You know it’s always a good training session when you’ve left it all on the court.

BOOM have a great community with like minded individuals all helping each other to get better and all levels to test yourself against. Just wish I decided to commit earlier - at least there’s the Masters tournaments.

Lydia is patient, knowledgeable, and has a remarkable talent for adapting her coaching to suit each individual. Her sessions are not only enjoyable but also highly productive, all within a friendly and fun environment. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in both my technique and confidence on the court thanks to her guidance. I wanted to get back into badminton after a very long period away from the game. The Turn Up and Play sessions run by Boom Badminton have been a fun reintroduction that I look forward to every week, with a fantastic and friendly community of players across a range of skill levels. And the coaching sessions run by Lydia and the rest of her team are excellent; helping to improve my fitness, work out the rust from my game and improve my technique. Highly recommend to anyone interested in badminton, whether a beginner or an experienced player.

Where to start… outstanding motivator, inspiring professional coach, strategic, competitive but great fun!
Whether teaching my children the basics during primary school, supporting through GCSE badminton and fitness, monthly competitive match plays, or holiday camps, Lydia has been there throughout. This club provided a sport, a club and a network of likeminded friends. If only every sport had a Lydia to role model. Boom badminton is amazing, go join!
