Well, what can I say? Brilliant charity for homeless in the area, but management treat the staff really badly. No support for new staff, too much backstabbing between staff and not run professionally. Some managers and supervisors in place that have no experience nor any empathy with their staff. If you’re thinking of working their, don’t!!!! Go to the YMCA instead.

They have no control or even want to support the homeless.
I approached them about a lady unconscious just down from the shelter. I was told “if you’re worried about it. Call an ambulance”.
You’re all in the wrong job and no human care in the world.
Never move them on from locations they shouldn’t be. Allow them to litter and steal from the local community.
The worst shelter that exists.

Try living in the same Street as one of there hostels ? It's a disgrace ..staff pay the residents daily to doss about streets drinking from 7am all day every day and getting drugs dealt to them constantly .... Queens Road / Byron Road Hostels make the hardworking people of Queens Roads lives a nightmare .
Poor management.... residents just doss about all day every day for years on end

A place for men and women, recovering addicts, and people that have been homeless and other reasons to feel safe and secure in a well staffed and maintained area. A place of hope for those who feel despair, loneliness, abused. The staff here are wonderful and I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for the kindness and understanding of them.
