I just finished my week of volunteering in WAC. What a week it was. Totally recommend to everyone who has some free time during the weekdays. I’ve learned so much during that time and what’s important got motivation to cook at home for myself. I definitely recommend joining WAC to people who start their independent life to gather some life skills. Besides that, everyone there is lovely and welcoming. I can’t wait to come back 😀

Friendly organisation who are non judgemental and I feel at ease. They offer workshops which include cookery, poetry, gardening, craft sessions and woodworking although have no pressure to join. They provide healthy nutritional meals either low cost or free. Open to everyone of all ages, I recommend theee guys as they’ve been so supportive and helped me in times of crisis.

Recently I have had a lot of health issues. I was given an emergency appointment which was great. It wasn't possible to get there by train or bus, so I tried TAPS volunteer Cornwall. But because it was such short notice, they couldn't help.

I asked Lizzie if she knew of any organisation that could help. Long story short Lizzie took time out of her schedule and took me to Dutchy herself. Hospital ran late, and she ended up waiting hours for me. Regardless, she was reassuring.

This is not the first time I have turned to WAC for help. A lot of my friends have also been given a lifeline thanks to them. No thanks required or expected, so let me say thank you to the people who fund this project.

It's great what they do however they seem to think themselves exempt for the "Equality Act 2010" to discriminate like they do it just plain wrong and I will be seeking further advice to move forward.
