Family-friendly place and can cook our food and have full facilities. Car parking is very secure. In front of the hostel is a small watering channel that is amazing and can do a little walk. All the staff are very friendly especially restaurant staff. Plenty of kitchen space, dining space, and lounge area.

Stayed in a bell tent. Clean, lots more space than we're used to in a private room. This allowed us to spread out, read books and play games when the weather turned very wet. Tent felt warm but there's a fire stove if you need extra warmth. Wood, kindling and matches are provided. There's access to a picnic table and area for barbecuing outside as well as access to the main building for use of the self-catering kitchen. Not much choice with food at dinner time but what was available was good with reasonable portions. We made our own breakfast and lunch so cannot review options there. Staff were friendly, showers were hot and everything was clean.||Note: although the website says this is near to the train station and ferry port, it is around 30 minutes walk uphill and across a busy road from Penzance train station. The harbour is a similar distance. There is a bus stop much closer which you can get from the bus station next door to the train station. Buses are a convenient way of travelling around this area of Cornwall.

Ok so unfortunately I woke up alarm went off from the shower steam. I was told I wasn’t allowed to order breakfast it was 9.04am. I mean what accommodation space closes breakfast at 9.04 bare in mind I paid for it. I was told to go to the bus station I had to catch a coach at 10am didn’t get a refund for it .. I was in a rush bare in mind I had 15 hours coach journey and travelled from the Isles of Scilly the night before. I had a burger the night before unfortunately it was raw. I also took a picture , I asked the lady if she had checked the temperature of the burger if she was unsure it was ready ..she wasn’t able to cook a frozen patty as I saw prepping the burger. She told me the temperature was right at 65c I told her it should be 75c plus. She said it’s ok to eat I asked her to make me a new burger she stared at me there was a large group of children after me and in all honesty I was frightened that she would be capable of giving them food poisoning especially if she couldn’t cook a burger patty!!! The bun was stale and the tomato was far too chunky. I don’t like complaining however it was the first thing I eaten since Sunday. I was really looking forward to the burger that was all together £26.00 with a Beer. Can I just say the second burger she cooked was also raw and freezing in the middle I don’t understaNd how you can allow anyone to cook soley if they are capable of cooking 2 raw burger patties … luckily I am A chef and know the difference between 10c because children don’t. In terms of the dining it was 0-10 but the cleanliness was a solid 10 I wouldn’t mind a refund to be honest on my breakfast I paid for what I wasn’t allowed to order at 9.04am the burger meal please.

Conveniently located within 10 mins walking distance to bus stops. The rooms were neat and clean but the number of toilets and showers were limited compared to the number of guests. The kitchen was small but manageable. It was very crowded during my stay due to peak summer holidays.

The accommodation was pleasant and clean, great location within walking distance of Penzance. However, our stay coincided with a group of high school students, and our room was situated next to the dining room and kitchen. This led to disruptive noise from doors slamming and conversations from as early as 4:30am, which unfortunately meant we had a disruptive night.

This place is fantastic. It is situated a bit out of town (there's a bus that takes you halfway there), which may be its only downfall, but honestly some people might really like this location, as it's basically in the woods.

The staff are not only kind and polite, but also very dedicated.

The grounds are expansive and very well maintained.

The facilities are very clean (nice shower/toilets). They have a big kitchen that is equipped with cooking pots and pans/utensils. The lounge is also very nice.

Overall, I 100% recommend this hostel!

Well! thank you to the staff of this wonderfully run hostel, kept everything running beautifully, working quietly in the background. If you want to improve the only things I can think of are more bike spaces and a dryng room, but it is lovely as it is.

Good location not too far from town. But ….. we found this to be a very noisy hostel. Doors slamming, people shouting in corridors at all hours. Maybe we were unlucky but there were no staff around at night to deal with problem guests. |The accommodation was very basic for the price you pay. The kitchen was too small for the number of people using it and was not cleaned regularly enough. Small dining room. WiFi not great. Overall a very disappointing stay - would never book again.
