Lovely little club. I haven't played bowls but it's perfect for a nice drink in a friendly atmosphere. Open early evening every Friday, Saturday evening and every Sunday afternoon.
Can be booked for your own private party.
Next event is a cabaret night on Saturday 22nd March with singer Jennifer Kay 7pm till late. Open to non members. Come along for a great night out.

Avoid this venue for your special day!

My baby's Christening was booked in their diary earlier on in the year. 1 week before I met with the landlady to make arrangements for the buffet and decorations to be dropped in the following Saturday in readiness for Sunday. All was in order.

24 hours before, I find out for myself (through pitching up early to double check arrangements, no contact by anyone from the Club) that actually the Club couldn't accommodate the Christening.

Since meeting with the landlady an Artist had been booked for the Saturday night which meant that the decorations and buffet couldn't be dropped in. This didn't phase me at first as in my head those things could be dropped in the following morning. But the plot thickened.

County games had been booked in so my guests were not allowed to use the car park. Not to mention the Club would be packed out with members playing bowls.

And we couldn't have the bouncy castle we'd hired because (and I quote) "the screaming kids Will disturb the bowlers"

Really nice place for a party friendly staff reasonable bar prices they go the extra mile to make your day the best it can be one problem though they took my booking I got everything in place and arranged only to get an apologetic call 2 wks later saying they dont do bookings on or for a saturday its reserved for club events and they cancelled on us I niw have to find an alternative venue capable of hosting a party to include disabled guests
