The lovely Acorn is an institution. Its a great venue for live music and shows. The local crowd is super supportive and the venue is intimate.
The main access through the front is up a set of stairs, but there is a level access through the green market car park.
We've had some great evenings there. Friendly staff, local knowledge and a passion for the arts is what makes this such a successful venue.
A well stocked bar at reasonable prices is also part of making it a good night out!
Get there if you can get a ticket! 😁

Tripped over unmarked edge of seating spilt drink one elderly staff or volunteer seemed more concerned with spillage than whether I hurt myself. Great gig tho fab bar love it there but raised seat edge needs highlighting or lights

Lovely music venue especially since they have renovated the downstairs bar area and toilets. We have seen some great bands here hopefully more to come.

Great smaller venue! Shows an entertaining range of acts, mainly music, and the ticket cost is excellent value. In the stalls you're sometimes seated in rows, especially for theatre productions, but for more relaxed music you're seated around small tables (somewhere to rest your drinks!). There's seating upstairs in the gallery that is sometimes opened as well. The doors usually open about an hour before the performance, which means you can visit the bar and hang out with friends before the start. Penzance is so fortunate to have this venue and long may it continue!

Good venue and lovely atmosphere, had never been there before until parents booked take that tickets 😂

Only suggestion is the corners of the raised levels in the standing area would be better rounded off/ covered with hi-vis tape as I watched a few people trip over it when leaving the standing area to go get drinks. Definitely a hazard in an otherwise lovely venue

I travelled down from the outskirts of London to see Baskery perform at The Acorn and I'm so glad I did. The band - as ever - were amazing live (if you haven't seen them yet you really should) but the venue itself is something special. The staging of the show, the room itself and the downstairs bar are quite unique and the sound and lighting on the night was impressive. The staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure all in attendance had a good night. The local ale was very good and a decent price too. One of my all-time favourite gig experiences.
