Lovely place for walking, jogging, or just chilling - for all (people, kids and animals). Cafe on-site, 2 big lakes, bird hides & sometimes lists of birds that have been spotted (plus for birdwatchers), pay-as-you-go car parks (there is some free parking on the side of the road outside the park but gets filled up pretty quickly), toilets and playgrounds for kids. Lots of little bridges crossing the River Nene, houseboats moored along the river and pretty landscapes - absolutely wonderful in summer. Superb for picnics. Are people allowed to walk around the edges of the golf course here looking for 'lost' golf balls!

With a huge park on one side and the Nene Valley Railway on the other, the Caravan and Motorhome Club Ferry Meadows site is a lovely and understandably popular spot.

The parking arrangements are terrible and expensive. After a pleasant walk in the park we returned to the carpark to find a queue of at least ten people trying to pay. It was taking everybody ages because it was difficult to read the screen and it wasn't always accepting the payment card first time. several people had to pay extra because while waiting they had clocked up another hour.
