👍 Reviews of Yaxley Vintage Festival

Yaxley Vintage Festival - Peterborough

5/5

We went there nice and early, shortly after the opening hour, and I believe that worked out very well. I really enjoyed seeing the little running engines again, after Burghley House where I actually saw them for the first time and literally fell in love with, first sight!
Yaxley was somehow even better, because I could watch the owners start the little steam engines and I could actually be right there next to them, take pictures etc.
There were quite a few vintage motorcycles and cars as well.
Loved the military section!

There was a lot to see in a very compact space, so you wouldn't walk miles and still see so many things!

What I really liked, was the free entry! You could make a donation at the entrance, which is such a lovely way to welcome visitors - you pay what you think is fair according to your own finances or whatever factors you chose to take into account. And nobody ever comes to you with a bucket to ask for donations, you are absolutely free!

Because it was a bit rainy, at first we were hesitant to go, thinking it would be muddy - that was so silly and I was glad that we still went. It was grass and gravel and no signs of mud or anything.

And people were so friendly and smiling, I loved that too!

Definitely looking forward to next time.
