Charming little bookshop with a surprisingly large book selection. The kids' "secret" room is adorable with a little puzzle to solve. There are a lot of kids' games and collectibles pins as well. We bought a little of each. The staff were very kind and helpful; we left feeling like we'd experienced a lovely part of the town's culture.

Though I live locally this was my first time in this shop and I absolutely loved it shop. Best place to visit in Pateley!! It is a hidden gem. If this was directly on the main road it would be packed, but because it’s set off the Highstreet by just a few meters it feels like a secret spot. The moment you go in you can tell the people who own it are super passionate about what they sell. Not only are the items sold of amazing quality and taste but the shop itself is enchanting. I didn’t intend to buy anything, instead i just wanted to visit the shop all my friends were raving about, but I just couldn’t resist, I left with a bunch of gifts. If you like game crusaders in Harrogate where they show you how to play games, you’ll definitely appreciate this place. The lady talked me through a number of games bless her. It’s a wonderful place and the owners should feel very blessed for what has been accomplished here!!

What a fantastic independent shop for kids of all ages, books and games. Thank goodness we spotted their noticeboard or we might have missed this gem. 3 rooms packed full with books, games and puzzles. Loved that you could try loads of puzzles out and the owner was very warm, welcoming and helpful. She even invited us to an open games night the following evening which we went to and had a brilliant time. It’s such a lovely thing to experience as parents, playing alongside kids and having a laugh together. I only wish we lived closer!

What a beautiful unique little shop, lovely selection of books and so many interesting games for little ones! The owner is so friendly and helpful aswell, someone who will leave you smiling for the rest of the day! Thank you for helping us pick our daughters first puzzle game! Highly recommend stopping here if you're visiting Pateley Bridge.

Amazing for kids and adults!
This is such a gem of a bookshop. The owners are super friendly and take their time to welcome everyone and chat.
There are 3 different rooms with a great range of books, including some by local authors, and a comfy chair where you can relax while you browse.
There is a lovely (secret!) kids room, full of wonder and they also have some very reasonably priced second-hand books and games.

My favourite thing is the brilliant and broad range of fun, colourful, educational games laid out on tables for people to have a play with, and the owners are very happy to explain / demonstrate how to play them.
We’ve been in several times now, spent a while in there, and always come out with treasures!
We can’t wait for our next visit!

Favourite book shop we have ever been to. Went in today with my wife and baby... The entrance to the children's section is a multiple door puzzle, it's so cute!

The whole place feels expertly curated. You're not overwhelmed with an insane quantity of books, instead there is ample choice of books, all of which you get a feeling the owner has really put thought in to stocking.

The nature section was also ace!

Worth stopping in Paterley just for this place alone.
