We attended the Santa express today. The experience was lovely and it's also reasonably priced. The staff are amazing! Santa really spent time with each family. The Train was nice and warm with some decorations and Christmas music playing. It's about a hour in total, you go up to the rugby club and back again, all children get an age appropriate gift. We also had nice food in the tea room after the train but it's limited spaces as only a small cafe. The Train was full and we will continue to come for years to come. It was My 2.5 yr olds first time on a train and steam train, she was fascinated. It's not the polar express (not that we've been) but it was still lovely. I think a drink and sweet treat would be a great addition but as there no toilets on the train maybe it's not ideal plus it would be a mess for staff to clean between sessions. My only issue was there was no disabled spots left but the car park is only small so no biggy. Give it a try next year! Book early it sells out fast!

Visited Chasewater Railway for our Annual Family Santa Visit this year.
We had an absolutely amazing experience, we were welcomed and shown to our carriage. Santa and his elves came to greet us.
We were not expecting a gift for our 1 year old and 8 month old as they were on laps not physical seats, but were given a gift.
All of the gifts each child had were well thought out for age and were gratefully received. Santa sat and had photos taken with each group / child.
We had a lovely day, adults and children all said or showed their enjoyment.
Thank You Chasewater, definitely well worth a visit and worth every penny ☺️🎅

For a small historical venue, it is well worth a visit. You can take a small ride on a steam train with a cafe at each end of the line. A small museum to view while at the sidings. The walks around Chasewater are very rewarding seeing lots of wildlife including two types of deer. There 3 cafe’s on the walks around Chasewater

Santa Train Experience, the weather was against us but the staff were amazing, when we got stuck due to a tree across the line they worked quickly to get it cut away and moved so we could get on our way again.

The presents for the younger ones were great, our 11yr old however was a bit disappointed with a railway mug, as his younger brother (9) got a large volcano experiment and a younger boy in the same carriage got a large monster truck toy, the mug he said was a bit of a poor present for him and he would have preferred either of the other two gifts.

A Really amazing place where you can easily spend time with the family being family friendly. Noticed that there were loads of Dog walkers. There are about 3 Coffees shops and 1 Ice cream shop having different varieties to choose from.

Seemed a very safe park with loads of children.

Car park was only £3.50 all day. Car park closes at 8pm.
