Incredible to have watched this garden grow, from nearly nothing. They’ve done an amazing job bringing this forgotten, walled garden back to life. Looking forward to the planned winter garden restoration. I’ve not been lucky enough to eat at the restaurant, as it’s always fully booked. The coffee and sausage rolls however, are excellent at the Produce Shop. They would benefit from a separate cafe counter to the shop, as there’s always large queues and I’m sure that must put people off from buying plants and produce. Stanmer is the most pretty little village and the surrounding woods are a joy to explore. Stanmer House is the most beautiful building, that has yet to live up to its full potential. The one negative is the road in and out of Stanmer. It’s an assault course of extreme potholes. I hope they can reinvest the money made from the recent implemented parking charges, back into the infrastructure.

I was looking forward to dining here for lunch especially the sustainability aspect- locally sourced, its location in Stanmer Park.

However the service was disappointing and we felt like we were a burden.
It took more than 20 minutes to get our drinks (cold latte, tap water and an apple juice).
Then an additional 30 minutes for food, I asked a member of staff if there was a food delay.

The food wasn’t to a good standard in my eyes, and I expected better when paying £15 for a burger.

I left feeling I should have booked somewhere else.

Otherwise the space is beautiful so we would visit again for the gorgeous garden space.

I highly recommend brunch at One Garden Cafe. It’s a light-filled space with beautiful views of the garden and ridge beyond, a lovely place to be even on a rainy day. I started treating myself and the children before our weekly outing when the weather started getting colder. The children have pancakes with yummy toppings or scrambled eggs on sourdough toast cooked to perfection for £5 each! I have granola and yoghurt with fruit which seasonally changed from rhubarb scattered with edible flowers to cinnamon pears in the autumn. Can’t wait to see what the head chef will come up with in Spring!

The Brighton Lights - very enjoyable festive lights experience! Wonderful performers, well organised trail, snacks, drinks and gift market. Staff were very helpful. Adjacent Car park is Council run £2.80 for 2hrs, payable via paybyphone app.

Tucked away towards the back of Stanmer Park. Lovely place set within a walled garden. There's a shop near the entrance selling a range of goods and towards the rear, a restaurant. Had the Haddock and chips with a diet coke.

The diet coke tasted odd, and I was not offered any ketchup, etc but otherwise it was pretty good.

Great little spot to unwind. The roses smelled amazing... The water feature was relaxing. The garden was full of bees and insects which was great to see. I enjoyed a tasty brunch at the ONEKITCHEN too.

My fave place. Gardens are very peaceful, full of amazing flowers and inspirational planting schemes. It's an unbelievable transformation of this once dilapidated area. I've found some beautiful local artwork and some good value plants from the market and sampled many a delicious morsel from the kitchen! The people here are lovely and so helpful; they also make great coffee. I hope this place stays with us forever. It's Brighton's new gem 💎!
