Went out of our way to donate decent clothes and books as I felt it was a worthwhile charity.
On arrival we were told they were only accepting 3 bags/boxes worth of stuff. Fair enough as I could see they had quite a lot of donations they were going through.
One of our three bags was full of books which we couldn’t carry in one go and when we took the remaining books the woman on the door started having a go and tutting saying ‘I’ve told you only three bags’ and when we explained it was just the remainder of the third bag she started trying to say it was health and safety and she didn’t make the rules. Extremely rude staff and unfortunately your charity won’t be receiving any more of my donations. I’ll donate to a charity who are grateful!

Like other reviewers i have had my donations rejected because of the number of bags I had in my car. I have a large box of dvd's which they refuse to take with furniture I've offered to donate even though I am in my 70's and unable to get them there. Very rude on the phone, talking over me and interrupting. I was told our vans are "packed to the rafters" ( didn't know vans had rafters!) So they couldn't take bric a brac (seriously? Dvds are bric a brac?) If they have such "massive" amounts of stock then maybe they don't need donations. With that attitude they certainly don't deserve them. What a shame. they've missed out on some good quality items. Tough

We visit regularly to buy and donate. Donations are welcome and there is always friendly faces. There are many new and nearly new items, things that my Grandma used to have and pricing is not over the top
It is rare we dont visit the Hanger's cafe. It has a great selection of food and drink.
Only one moan though at the moment, no cheese scones. Lol

Good little shop & enjoy browsing here however till staff could do with making sure their customers are out of earshot before being rude about them to other customers. I spend a lot of money here but doubt I'll be back now.

Went in today spotted a few items which would of made the charity £100 only to be told a item which I needed delivering would cost me an extra £20 which I explained I only live half a mile away from the shop in Somercotes I was spoken to by a guy who was very rude and his response was it is what it is with the cost of delivery so therefore I refused to pay £20 delivery so he has lost a charity £100 in sales not a good experience and was spoken to like I was muck on the floor not very good for the air ambulance charity.

Visited here on Sunday 16th July 2022 to donate items and to have a look round the shop, when donating the staff were very grateful, pleasant and friendly. The shop is well set out with lots of items and furniture available, space to walk around and a lovely coffee shop. The staff in the shop were very polite, helpful and approachable, ended up buying a basket full of items all great prices and some bargains to be had while helping a great cause.
