I have been working with Blue Sky Care for the last 5 years. I have progressed from support worker, to team leader, senior team leader and now I am the registered manager of the same service. I have been supported to gain knowledge through fully funded qualifications, professional training courses and team building days. I am able to advocate for the people at the centre of our care with Blue Sky Cares support and guidance, to ensure they live fulfilling and happy lives. I receive feedback, support and guidance from my superiors and work within a team of managers who have the service users best interests as the main focus. The team I manage have continuous opportunities for further training and progression.

I am an independent Speech and Language Therapist and I visit Sherwood View each week to provide therapy to a resident, on an individual and group basis. Over the years, I have worked in many nursing and residential homes and I have to admit, it is not a preferred part of my job. However, Sherwood View is the exception to that. The staff are extremely welcoming and many are keen to be involved in delivering the therapy sessions. They support the attending residents with gentle, but encouraging, styles and join-in with the activities, which gives the shy or less-able residents the courage to participate. All residents are treated with respect and are listened-to if any issues arise. It is clear that they feel happy and safe in their environment. I can say, without exception, that Sherwood View is the best care venue that I have ever worked in and I felt it was time I gave the staff and management some public recognition for their work

Sharing feedback given from a ex staff member:
I must say that the company invest in the service user’s activities encourage family interaction and promote community socialising. Training is no issue.
However the best part of working at Lawrence mews is the team. Everyone encourages each other to be their best. The team lift each other up in stressful times and each day is entered with positivity. I am very sad to be leavingbut moving iut of area.

I worked for Blue sky care lawrence mews for 18 months. Staff all very supportive and service users were brilliant. Wasn't what i wanted in the long run however it was a great setting to be in if care is what you're looking for.
