We had such a great experience adopting our boy Skoczek from the trust. Everything was so straightforward but we could tell they wanted the right cat with the right family. We also received loads of food and some kitty bits when he came home, which was helpful. We could tell his foster mother really has a heart for re-homing cats and she even messaged a couple of times after we got him to see how he was doing. Highly recommend this charity to anyone looking to open their home to a kitty in need.

My partner and I decided to adopt an indoor cat after moving into our second floor flat together. We contacted the charity about Murphy, a beautiful 5 year old cat that has FIV, meaning he has to stay indoors. It has been the best decision we have ever made; he has settled in over the past few days we have had him, and is an absolutely beautiful, friendly and loving cat. It is very clear that the charity cares deeply about ensuring that the homes the cats go to are living and appropriate. He absolutely loves sitting on our balcony (and luckily has zero interest in pulling the safety mesh down), jumping on the sofa cushions and ‘nose-booping’ me at every opportunity. Murphy’s foster family, especially Catherine, did an incredible job with getting him back to health whilst he was under their care. Catherine was incredibly kind and easy to contact throughout the whole process, and really helped make the process as simple as possible. The staff working on the phone lines are also super, and sorted out things with the vet practice within 10 minutes when it didn’t appear that the practice were aware that I was now Murphy’s owner. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience with CAT. Despite having rehomed four cats from this charity over the past two decades I have been turned down to rehome two kittens with the excuse that my home environment wasn't busy enough! I feel this was just a veiled form of ageism as my husband and I are retired. This is despite the kittens' write up saying they needed a home where someone was home all the day! I only found this out after re-contacting the adoption co-ordinator as the promised advice phone calls were not made.

I'd been thinking about getting an adult cat for ages and over time had registered with several Cat Adoption Charities. As far as I'm aware i'm a perfect candidate to adopt an adult cat, I live alone and my house overlooks fields and is no where near a main road. Despite this i seemed to always get overlooked when i applied to adopt with the larger Cat Rescue Charities.

I saw Billy back in November and applied to adopt him that day. The Following day I was contacted by the Cats Action Trust to talk about my application and the process of adoption from visiting Billy in person, assessing my home's suitability to advise on ways to make Billy's Transition as stress free as possible.
Suffice to say the process was very productive, Billy (Bill) has now been with me for about 5 weeks and i'm so glad i adopted him. He's still quite nervous but is very affectionate and is absolutely hilarious when playing with his favourite toy (a bit of string)
I'm very pleased with my Adoption experience with The Cats Action Trust, they were all extremely forthcoming with advice and support before, during and After the adoption. I genuinely got the sense that, even after i'd adopted Bill, they were always there if something went wrong, which is very reassuring for a first time cat owner like myself.

We adopted 2 "old" kitties, mother and daughter and they are delightful. This charity gets no help from government or council - run entirely by volunteers - they need every help they can get. Adapting from them is bar far the best help. I see on their web-site they have several black kitties waiting long time for their forever home - and it is such a shame: I always had at least 1 black cat and found them even more affectionate than the others of varying colors. Our black cat, Shadow, is also more attached to us, very intelligent and so easy: not a fussy eater, learns fast and just wants to be with you all the time. So please everybody out there who reads this - go for the black kitties with confidence!

We adopted our beautiful girl in August. The adoption process was very straightforward and everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. Lizzy has settled in to family life perfectly and we can't imagine life without her.

My daughter adopted a cat from Cats Action Trust in December. They obviously checked she and her home would be suitable. They are all unpaid volunteers but were so professional and kind. Well done and keep up the fantastic job you all do.

I think it is important to ensure that anything which you don't need want, but isn't broke and is in good condition should be donated to a charity of your choosing.

Cats Action are a small charity and their shop is filled to the brim with random which people have donated and sorted by the volunteers.

Their window displays are always considered and follows a theme.

I have never bought anything here, but when I make a donation of my unwanted items I always add a box of cat food as they are always looking after abandoned cats.
