We engaged Ben to do the site preparation and groundworks for our "self-build" oak-frame house. This included initial landscaping of a sloping garden, installation of underground tanks for spring-water collection and demolition of the existing bungalow. He and his team installed the drainage, laid out and built the foundations for the new house, and these were complimented for their accuracy by the main builder (Border Oak). His direct advice, attention to detail and positive interaction with the builder was excellent, and he completed his work in good time, despite some difficult winter months. We are very glad to have had him "on board" the overall project.

Ben and his team were excellent in decommissioning my old septic tank and installing a new sewage treatment plant…….including liaison with the Building Control inspector and remediation of the ground afterwards. The liaison and attention to detail were first rate. I’ve also used Homden Excavations for drainage work around the house and cannot speak highly enough of them.

We were pleased to use the services of Ben Homden and his team to do the groundwork to I nstall drainage and sewerage at our parish church. From first contact we found Ben a responsive and committed worker. At all times, he was prepared to listen to our needs and respond appropriately. This is a grade 2* listed building and Ben, Nigel and Declan were working in the churchyard. They impressed us by the respect of their surroundings. At the end of each day, the worksite was left immaculate with due regard to those who may be visiting the graves of loved ones. Many visitors and local people commented what tidy workers they were.
They worked closely not only with church officials but also an archaeologist and liaised with water authorities and highways to progress the work. We felt that Ben 'went the extra mile' for us. The work was completed on time and within our set budget. We would not hesitate to recommend Ben for similar work.

Our drive needed redesigning and rebuilding which Ben and his men did to a very high standard. He was very accommodating in adjusting to our requirements as the work progressed. Subsequently we got him to re-work and terrace our back garden which he again did to a very high standard.
