Thank you Xen and all the staff and residents at Ashfields for making me feel welcome when I visited to entertain. I was impressed by how happy everyone seemed. It really felt like visiting the home of a close family. I’d like to also thank those that assisted me in and out with some of my equipment, that was very kind. My impression was that the residents were content with the attention they receive from their carers.
Well done to everyone involved with my visit. Your attention and cooperation made my efforts to entertain much easier.

I have been to several events hosted by this care home to promote engagement with the community. It is clear to see that the residents are happy and well cared for, and the events have been a resounding success. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Attended the quiz night on 19th October, the staff were fantastic, with some of the residents taking part. A great evening supporting one of our local care homes, all had so much fun. Looking forward to the next one in December.
My wife Jill is the resident hairdresser, who really loves supporting the residents and always comments on how caring the staff are.

Ashfields is a truly lovely home. The staff are incredibly dedicated and always go the extra mile to enrich the lives of the residents. It's clear that dementia care is a priority, and the positive atmosphere is palpable from the moment you walk in. I highly recommend Ashfields.

Lovely singing to the resident of Ashfield. They really engaged and sang many of my song with me. The care facility is really well run, friendly, clean and well managed and all the residents are well cared for.

Comfortable and happy environment. Had a great time while there. Attended a fundraising quiz night and got to interact with some of the residents and staff and found them all lovely, friendly and happy (which made losing the quiz night go down easier)!

I visited Ashfield Care Home ( Barchester Group ) Salhouse Road, Rackheath, Norwich on Saturday 16th November 2024 to do a show and tell on my Metal detecting finds that I have found here in Norfolk over the last few years. I also used my metal detector to show the staff and residents how my detector works. Showing what sounds and display on my screen what noises the detector makes going over Roman coins, hammered silver coins , gold coins artefacts also what sounds not to dig. All the residents stayed till the end of my show which overran but 20 minutes (1 hr 20 mins ) as everyone was so interested. All the staff were great with all the residents and made me feel really welcome. My performing name is " The Singing Detectorist " on Facebook. I was told that they would love to have me back to do it again for the residents that weren't there on this day.
