This organisation has the potential to really help people but is a let down in the services they provide around helping women in general. There's no compassion or understanding, the support around finance, benefits, debt and help with accommodation is non existent. They don't understand mental health and very quick to dismiss your concerns. They should empower women instead of shutting them down. The residential unit just seemed to be a revolving door back to prison for many vulnerable ladies. The only positive is that the courses are somewhat good. The lady who does the confidence course is amazing. Pam and Harpreet are also brilliant at what they do.

Helpful in a wide range of areas, when I first registered they were able to give me a grant to help me with my financial difficulties at the time. These are obviously people that have their hearts in the right place.

Miscarriage of justice./ Injustice done to my family.

I am a victim of a wrongful conviction and my family were victims of harassment and racism from the Birmingham police department and the rest Birmingham government departments. I have evidence of my innocence. I contacted Anawim women's centre in 2017, and wrote to them by post in 2018 to forward my letter to my probation officer regarding the harassment my family received from the Birmingham social services and my son's previous doctors surgery who were covering up the crimes committed by those who harmed my son. The letter was returned back to me by post and this is how cold hearted Anawims staff were. I was so nice to them when I was referred there in 2013. My son's life and health is ruined because of those responsible of causing harm to my son. My son's been ill for nine years and I as a mother am fighting for justice for my son ever since. What I have witnessed and the evidence I have, I have seen Anawim women's centre have no heart or humanity to care . The justice system has failed to help the innocent victims get justice. Every department covered up the crimes. I now investigate crime cases myself and I have investigated the Birmingham government departments misconduct too, and I sent the evidence to Judge Fletcher at the Stoke on Trent crown court. Who is a better witness than a judge ? If a judge has seen the evidence of the crimes committed by the Birmingham police officers and he advised me to fight my case at the Birmingham magistrates court, then who are Anawim women's centre staff or the rest Birmingham government departments to judge me wrongly? I will soon be looking at cases at the magistrates court and making decisions. I promise every innocent victim out there who has experienced injustice that once I step foot in the magistrates court I will make sure that the justice system isn't played around with and the laws are respected. Those cases where injustice has been done to innocent victims outside the courts those cases will be dealt with inside the courts. I will make sure every court trial is treated fairly and equally. I will also make sure racism is taken seriously since my family were victims of racism. If Anawim staff deny what I have mentioned in my review then they are welcome to call judge Fletcher at the Stoke on Trent crown court and ask him the cases I've investigated and the evidence that he has seen of the crimes committed by the Birmingham police officers.

When people can get away with crimes just because they are wealthy or have the right connections, the scales are tipped against fairness and equality. The weight of corruption then becomes so heavy that it creates a dent that forces the world to become slanted, so much so- that justice just slips off.

Continue to speak out against all forms of injustice to yourselves and others, and you will set a mighty example for your children and for future generations.

Imam Ali said, "Verily, there is nothing between truth and falsehood but a span of four fingers..."Then he placed four fingers between his eye and ear and said, "falsehood is to say, 'I heard', while the truth is to say, 'I saw."

Verily the truth is not known through men, know the truth (first) and you will know its people.- Imam Ali.

In a free society it is hard for good people to 'do 'good', but that is a small price to pay for making it hard for 'evil' people to do evil'.' Especially since one man's good is another's evil.

It takes a despicable person to fabricate lies and put the burden of proof on the innocent.

Silence becomes cowardice when occasion demands the whole truth and acting accordingly.

I rest my case.

An absolute nightmare for local residents of Mary Street and surrounding roads. This place is now being hired out for events and the traffic/parking chaos is ridiculous. The centre has only been here a few years and in the weekdays the staff park on the roads taking up potential residents spaces and now on the weekends they are having events and taking up spaces. They wouldn't get away with this in a posher area!

A feminist man-hating organisation that does not give men the right to reply. I know a woman who claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse and her complaint was passed to the police by Anawim. The man concerned was hit several times by the woman and he had never hit her back. In reality, he was the victim.

Yet Anawim reffered him to the police for no reason despite there being no photos, no evidence and no convictions for domestic violence at all. Charges were dropped obviously. Terrible organisation which will believe any woman's story even if there is zero evidence for the claims.
