I was invited to this space to attend a movie viewing event to celebrate "Black History Month". I went there and was chatting with another dude who came for the event until the movie started.

After the movie began, I stopped talking. Then I realized that I was being watched by the folks who had earlier told me to pick up a tag that read "Kick racism" or some catchphrase like that. It felt like I'm in a place where i shouldn't be though i was invited.

Imagine going to an event that was organized to "kick racism/discrimination out" and you were being discriminated against. I'm not even mad, it was just funny.😂😂

A warm friendly welcome & 'A Cuppa Kindness' awaits you.
If you feel lost or alone or have lost your spark in life, then seriously, that cup of kindness really does await you. You will be welcomed & introduced to others that could have been in the same boat as you & that have come through their dark days - their SPARK has been reignited.
Delicious cakes from the Tenth Hole & Queens Hotel will be served along with great tea & coffee.
You pay what you can afford x

Visited for the first time today with two friends. Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere, with very helpful staff who come and take your orders for coffee and snacks as well as others who make you welcome and ask if you have any issues which they can assist you with. No charge for the food and drinks, you just donate what you think or what you can afford. Possibly open to abuse, as some folk will take advantage, paying little or nothing even if they are well able to put some money in the kitty. Would think the staff know who are genuinely hard up...

Also a large range of secondhand goods such as books, clothing and general odds and ends - all very reasonably priced. Will definitely be popping along again...

Spark Community Space has unwittingly helped raise my confidence more than they can ever imagine. In Spark I found a place where I can be me and where I'm made to feel welcome. There is always a positive, vibrant atmosphere, a welcoming smile from staff and gorgeous cakes or toasties.

Spark Community Space is clean, bright, spacious, and inclusive. What a great place to find your own Spark.

This is a hidden treasure of Portsmouth where you come in a stranger and leave as a friend. A warm welcome always in this wonderful ‘pay what you can afford’ cafe serving a cup of kindness to all who visit.
You can also browse in an amazing charity shop full of books and other bric a brac. Definitely worth a visit!
