I worked at Citizens Advice Portsmouth as a trainee in the Help to Claim team. Despite meeting the role’s requirements, my contract was unexpectedly terminated while still in probation. The process was unstructured and unprofessional, as I was informed of the decision via email following an informal meeting that lacked clarity. Based on my experience, I would advise potential employees to be aware of how probation periods are handled within this organisation.

Absolutely brilliant service. Spoke to a lady called "Graz" I believe she said her name was. I was calling up enquiring about getting a food bank voucher. Not only did this lady arrange this for me she truly went above and beyond informing me about different services in the area which could benefit me financially in my time of hardship to make my life easier. Very friendly, very professional and easy to talk too. I've decided to leave a review for you guys and everyone to see so she gets the credit and praise she deserves! Thankyou so much.

Rude, unhelpful, and under qualified staff. I wasted one hour waiting only to be told that they aren’t going to advise me on the things they claim to advise. There is no point of these places.

Facing no fault eviction, terrifying. These advisors really know the law and I'm more than happy for them to take my case and work on it. I trust their knowledge and will proceed following their advice. Sadly the council are over run with those seeking accommodation.

I've been there before and it was brilliant so so helpful and you could just walk in and not get bitten by the guard dog on reception, we go there for help and advice and that person wants you to say why you want to talk with someone with everyone in very close hear 🙉 shot,I found that very uncomfortable, somethings need the right place and right time not with half of Portsmouth crammed around you listing to your issues, it's changed for the worst, you can't have that person demanding that you tell her and everyone else your personal problems, it's hard enough to get the courage to go there then your meeted by a pretty rude person, but if you manage to get past the door man 😂🤣 your be fine and they will do all they care for you in PRIVATE, please don't get me wrong,yes 6 understand they do it for free advice and they do a wonderful job.

I visited this advice centre several years ago because I needed legal advice. A local solicitor used to come on Fridays to provide people with advice. He gave me advice and encouraged me. I finally solved the problem, which negatively affected my life. My life improved after solving this problem. I am very grateful to them.
