Wonderful serene place to come for rest and renewal. This is my second time here. I love it here. The sisters are lovely. They accommodate food allergies and it's disabled friendly (but check your specific needs first if you are a full time wheelchair user). Accessible bedroom is excellent, plenty of space for my wheelchair, electric bed and armchair. Shared bathrooms but own washbasin and tea/coffee making facilities.
While pets are not allowed, Assistance Dogs are welcome (I have one and he adores this place!).
Beautiful gardens, lovely calm peaceful chapel. They welcome visitors of all religions and none. Accommodation rates are very reasonable, best anywhere to be honest. Don't expect luxury as it's a retreat centre. But even if you don't have a religion, it's a lovely restful place to get away from the hassle and pressures of life.

This is a house of prayer and retreat centre ran by the Sisters of Bethany an Anglican church order.
The house is conducive to prayer, as the house is quiet and restful. The meals are substantial and we'll cooked are taken in silence.
There's a chapel where the sisters have their prayers and all are welcome.

The sisters were welcoming and gracious. Lovely rooms. You must bear in mind that this is their home, and a retreat for those who feel the need to shut the world away. Will visit again.

Very friendly people. Nice quiet space. Sisters made good food, just enough for everyone. Most meals are silent. Six services a day. Small garden outside the house. Very well stocked library. Very short walk to the sea front where I ran everyday. Amazing time. Couldn't have asked for me. Went away feeling blessed. Definitely want to go again
