Wonderful community to be part of, from the welcome to the pantry, or a delicious latte and cakes in the cafe, to bargains in the charity shop. All the volunteers bring such a smile and warmth to the community, whatever your background or faith, you'll be most welcome to the Sunday services. Informal and uplifting morning services, with breakfast and soft play afterwards for the children! with modern sung worship, full of hope, joy and love. Youth groups for children, on a Friday are a great way of finding somewhere to go after school to end the week too. You're sure to leave st Margarets with a sense of peace and belonging.

Was dragged along by the scruff of the neck by a friend when the Pantry was a Food Bank (too proud - ok pig-headed, with apologies to pigs) and found the place to be a real lifeline, particularly when things were really difficult financially. Helpful volunteers, plus a good range of food - not just 'basics'. For a fiver one gets ten items plus extra fruit and veg. Some folk quibbled at having to pay, but the place doesn't run on fresh air and good intentions aren't enough. In addition the fee of £5 means that people can go without the feeling of stigma which can come with going to a Food Bank. Coffee and biscuits / cake while you wait - free to members, although there is the option of a donation...

We found st Mags when I was on maternity leave through the soft play sessions. These are great fun for the kids and there’s a wonderful selection of drinks and snacks. We then started attending the Sunday morning service. This is such a great church with a real sense of community and togetherness. We now look forward to our Sunday mornings sharing breakfast and worship with many people who have since become friends.

Try and make an effort to come here every week with friends and it really is just lovely, great coffee and cakes, plenty of bargains to be had in the charity shop section (open Thursdays and Fridays until 2), just a lovely place to spend time, and really lovely staff to boot.

St. Margaret's Church is where I feel at home. Fran the priest and his wife Clair are very, very kind and welcome everyone with open arms. Everyone is very friendly and kind. And most importantly, their behavior It is Fran and Clair who influence everyone, especially our Iranian friends. Fran and his team help and support people. St. Margaret's is a safe environment for my teenagers to come to know Jesus in peace.
Bless you

Very peaceful! Not opened but rang bell and explained to a very helpful lady. Handed over some food and if I could just say a prayer. Again very helpful, left me for a short while to say my prayers. I'll have to pop in for a Toastie! Thank you

St Margrets Community Church
(st mags* 😉)

My church came to me unexpectedly, whilst I was open minded to religeon.
Whilst st mags was still being renovated from being unused & unstable.
From this moment, I have come to witness god in his truest form. Love.
It is everyone here who I now class as family, and bump into around my area. At tesco, my local convenience store, ect.
Everytime I return to my church, there is always someone, or something new.
Yet still I am met with smiles and prayers. So this I believe, has been god teaching me what love is, and how it feels. And without this community, which I now see as my community, I might still not of learned what love is, or feels like.

Come as you are.
St Mags.
