The University of Portsmouth Students' Union is truly a fantastic place for students. I couldn't be happier with the vibrant atmosphere and the wide range of services it offers. In my opinion, it surpasses other university student unions by far. It's the perfect hub for cultural exchanges and group activities of all kinds. I highly encourage all students to visit the union and take advantage of its numerous benefits. From the diverse events they organize throughout the year to the invaluable resources they provide, the Students' Union is an essential part of the university experience.

The building itself is still active, despite the closure of the students' bar; frequent conferences and events are held there, and catering still runs. However, the highlight by far is the Street Food menu at Friday lunch times. Absolutely sublime, as the attached photos show. Hats off to the University's Catering team for creating such a varied, flavoursome, filling and – above all — affordable lunch menu.

Visited in 2024 and all I can say is it’s rubbish. 20 years ago it was full of bars and women who wanted a “good time”. Now it’s full of do gooders and conferences l! Only University to not have a student bar. Pathetic

The people were nice, it was well organised, we went for an open day from 9:30am to 4pm. It was okay, we got soooooo tired walking around because the residential areas are far from the main study halls. Walking for 20mins every turn. Wasn't impressed, but eventually went to a better uni.
