No frills and really first rate. I had lightly battered large haddock and chips with mushy peas. The fish was delicious. I was pleased that the portion of chips size was decent but not huge as it is some places. Friendly quick service and fish was made to order. Lots of free parking outside too. Highly recommended.

Went for late lunch Thursday afternoon early February. Place was very clean. Had to use the toilets and the gents were spotless even if floor a tiny bit slippy as I think it had recently been mopped.
Establishment is licensed and serves beer and wine by the glass and bottle. I ordered the large Haddock and chips with bread and butter and a bottle of sparkling water. Based on the waitresses suggestion my brother went for the mini meal deal with cod as his choice of fish. This was only £7.00 and included mushy peas, a slice of bread and butter and a pot of tea.
Meals didn't take long to arrive. The fish on both meals was piping hot. I was disappointed with the chips. More to do with the texture rather than the taste. Plus they were a bit thin for chippy chips. And my large Haddock was two pieces rather than one big one. They were also on the thin side. I got a taste of my brothers mushy peas. They were good. And the bread was fresh, not stale or dried up like it had been left out all day. He enjoyed his and, for £7.00, have to say this was great value for money.
But for me there was a little something lacking. Everything was ok. There was nothing major wrong but it wasn't special or memorable. The place was clean. The set meal was great value for money, especially in these times, but there was nothing that said this is wow and worth an hours drive to visit again.

Food very good as always and service from Ryan second to non thank you Ryan. This visit was disappointing due to the restaurant was freezing cold with most folk sat in their coats trying to fend off the cold. We also noticed a price increase since our last visit making the experience more of a luxury nowadays.

Amazing fish, chips and mushy peas. Absolutely enjoyed my lunch at the Poulton restaurant. Very tasty and good sized portions. Friendly staff and a spotlessly clean restaurant. Would highly recommend.

Stumbled across this place on our way home from blackpool .
What a treat this place is the food is excellent and fantastic value .....4 of us chose large fish and chips in the sit down restaurant, £9.95 each with unlimited chips and we certainly didn't expect to get 2 good size fish on our plates , theres a choice of cod or haddock or both .
Would highly recommend here and will definitely return when we're back in the area

Maybe an unlucky experience but not too impressed after ordering 2 fish meal deals (£7.50) via click and collect. Use Seniors regularly however hit and miss sometimes it’s really nice and others are disappointing unfortunately
