Spent a fair amount of time in The Warren in my youth (1990s) in between other projects around the UK and abroad. Amazing building, really is like a Warren, lots of different corridors with rooms off them, pockets of variety. I tended to go into the artzone and sometimes the women's room, loved the links it had with other projects and especially those in the joining buildings like the Children's rights project and the women's centre, which were connected via a doorway. They had a meeting once a week and the young people discussed and voted on the direction and progress of the centre, wonderfully democratic and empowering. An essential community resource.

It's a shame some people think they are too cool to say Hi. I visited with my family yesterday after seeing the Warren records shop from outside and thinking it looks amazing. We were not acknowledged when we walked in despite looking up the girl didn't even look from her laptop and it made us feel uncomfortable.. When we left there were youths outside smoking swearing and kicking litter across the street. Shop is good. People not so good

Loads of activities on offer and helpful staff members. It's a shame that they can no longer help you because of your postcode I think that's wrong and it took them about 4 months to find I wasn't eligible due to my postcode. I don't think they should be restrictions due to where you're from bit wrong in my opinion.
