Me and my friend had a relaxing experience at this museum, where we were welcomed by lovely staff! There is a lot of displays on at the museum, covering categories such as technology, mining, clothing, medicine, machinery and even more! Print outs are hung up on a wall, showing trains with information about them and this was a very interesting feature.

Brilliant small museum that is free to enter, has interesting exhibits, and most importantly has probably the friendliest, most informative, and nicest volunteer guides in Yorkshire.

Small museum in the centre of Grassington. Lovely, friendly and helpful volunteer, very welcoming. Free to visit, but relies on donations. There are three rooms downstairs and two upstairs, all crammed with artefacts. There's something for everyone. Brilliant collection and display of bronze age flint arrow and spearheads. There's even a bronze age stone axe - very Flintstones Bedrock, ha. Most curious item in the museum for me was something I've never even heard of before - a moustache cup! Allegedly invented by British potter, Harvey Adams, in the 1870's. The cup has a ledge guard inside, designed to allow liquids to pass through, while keeping the moustachios dry....! Worth a visit, but their opening hours are quite brief.

We visited Grassington as part of an organised coach trip and as we didn't have long we were pleased to see the little museum, which is free to look round! There were two very friendly volunteers welcoming us and telling us about some of the exhibits that are housed in a pair of old cottages, which makes it a very fitting setting! Well worth a visit in this lovely old village! 😊
