Such a wonderful charity. The highly dedicated staff and volunteers, with the selfless help and support of members of the public and businesses who donate in many ways, give all the creatures there the best possible chance to thrive.
It was wonderful to see and meet the various residents when we visited. For those adoptable creatures, like cats and kittens, there is so much work that has to be done to help raise and treat (with trips to the vets) to ensure they are they are well and happy. Not forgetting those that need extra socialisation time so they can overcome past life issues and learn to live again.
As we write this, they are in the midst of what is known as 'kitten season'. Many cats find their way to Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary, either as strays or surrendered. So many that there has to be a waiting list.
The cattery and kitten area is a hive of activity during kitten season. busy enough to wear out the most enthusiastic of human parents. But it is all taken in its stride by the carer givers.
It was a delight to see so many happy animals of every description, but of course the kittens playing was extra special, and I have to admit brought a smile to the face and even a few tears of joy, too.
A big thank you to everyone there, and to all who support, in whatever way, the amazing, selfless work they do. ❤️🐈🐓🐰🦙🐷🐑💙

Visited today for the first time. I was really impressed with the farm. It was very clean, the animals seemed happy and had plenty of space to roam and the staff were friendly, especially Carol, one of the volunteers.

The work that these guys do for animals is invaluable. Especially for cats who need adopting. You can go in and visit the cats and spend time with them.

I know for a fact that these guys are grateful for any donations that they receive and even more grateful for volunteers who give up their time. If you have any spare time then I recommend going to enquire.

I can't thank this sancutury enough for taking in our little pet rabbit. We didn't know where else to turn, but redgate sancutury took her in which we are so grateful for. Lovely staff & lovely little sancutury.

These people do the most unbelievable job helping and rehoming cats and all other animals. They helped Winnie and Primrose for me last year and I wish I could help them out more .

On my way to markfield with donations. On line it says you are open....On my phone (directions) it says Temp closed!!!! I live 45 mins away & didn't want to waste my time coming over for you to be closed... No one answers phone.... Sorry had to take all donations elsewhere..

An absolute gem! We were delighted to discover this hidden gem this weekend. All the animals look so happy, clean, healthy, well taken care of and obviously very loved. The staff and volunteers and so friendly and obviously dedicated to the welfare of the animals here. We were so impressed on Saturday, we had to come back the next day even though we're a bit far out. My daughter already wants to volunteer when she's old enough, and I'll be setting up a monthly donation on top of our visits'.

Took on our 2 silkies (hen and cockerell). Really caring and attentive staff ... our 2 look so happy and settled. Lovely atmosphere.
