Rude and unfriendly on the phone most of the time (only once they weren't, out of like 5 times). I guess a lot of them have a chip on their shoulder or convinced themselves they've been through a tough life so try to act hard, or never got disciplined enough growing up so are rude.
They also say it's a "not long" waiting list, but then another employee said it's 6-8 months, which is quite long. Some of them don't seem to know their own process of how you need an assessment and then reference, so when you call up.

They have poor communication. You have to keep going there in person to ask them what's happening. If you don't keep going in to check, nothing will happen.

YMCA Nottingham is the worst place ever!!!! My brother was staying at one of their property, and he’s issues and was no longer at the property. I was told that they can no longer hold the property for a long time because they need the room back. So I personally told them I will come in and pack his items myself and pack the room, but instead they when ahead and let let their domestic staffs pack the room. I was called to come in and collect his properties and found out that most of his items were missing including new and old pairs of trainers, fan and other stuffs. I have called, made a complaint several times still have not got any response back from them. I have spoke with one of the managers he said he doesn’t want to get involve that I should speak with the key worker. I believe that YMCA is there to help people who needed help but instead they are letting people down by not stepping up and make an investigation when issues like theft arises. Something needs to be done ASAP. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED BY YMCA NOTTINGHAM.

I developed a drug addiction while I was staying here but got myself clean (with no assistance from my key worker) and then they evicted me onto the streets while I was on a benefit sanction that should not have been applied (with no assistance from my key worker) and then disposed of all my belongings because I had nowhere to take them.
With no belongings and nowhere to go I realised my inner strength and started to utilise my intelligence and resourcefulness in order to survive. I now realise that I am strong and capable and I should never have been staying at the YMCA and the rooms are more appropriate for those without the ability to look after themselves.
So thank you to everyone at the YMCA who neglected and rejected me so that now I can do for myself and focus on achieving my potential rather than being lost in a world of depression and drug abuse. 5 stars

Timelord 1.

This place is suppose to be there to help people but all the time I was there I was made to feel very uncomfortable. I woke up on numerous occasions with staff members stood over me whilst I was asleep. I went to breakfast once where the staff watch you like a hawk to make you feel nothing but awkward. The info they give you in terms of moving out or working is useless and it seems like thy can't be bothered to pull their finger out.

Ok if you want to live with drug addicts and alcoholics. No help at all when I said my daughter was coming to live with me attitude was she can't come here that's it. Well would I want her with those people seriously see you later I'll do it myself

I have been told once again to come off my smoke well what will do you do for me I have already been clean for 3 months and you treat me like a NOB BECAUSE I am now in a down sized ROOM from a STUDIO flat that's my incentive
