Mother was a resident of The Cedars for just over a year, most of which was at the height of the Covid pandemic, as mother had a life limiting condition, I was allowed unfettered access to the home, how provided PPE and PCR tests on a weekly basis. I cannot fault the treatment of mother through the period when I was virtually the only visitor to the home. The staff were very quick to act upon any comments I made, they were very approachable and I thank them very sincerely for all their care and attention.
I recommended The Cedars to a friend, who encouraged somebody to place their husband at the Cedars and they were similarly impressed by the dedication and kindness of the staff.

I'm so relieved to have found this home away from home for dad. I was dreading the moment that he would need more care than I could provide but the staff at the Cedars Rest Home have been wonderful. They put so much effort into working with folk who don't always recognise how well they are being cared for.
I have visited on many occasions and dad has been involved with activities and games lead by an awe inspiring occupational therapist.. I have enjoyed participating in these activities and appreciate the opportunity to interact with other residents, it really helps to develop a sense of dad's new community.

We could not fault how they looked after our mother. She lived there for 4.5 years and the staff were so attentive and caring! During the recent months of COVID lockdown, they have looked after everyone and done what they could to ensure contact with families were maintained. Facebook messages and videos,
Video calling where possible and doing all they can to maintain a safe and COVID free environment.

I would not hesitate to recommend The Cedars for looking after your loved ones.

Some great care staff, but ultimately this home let us down hugely as a family towards my grandmothers end. From what we experienced, completely not set up for palliative cancer care and should recognise their limitations.
