This is an absolute treasure in Sale, one of the best-looking churches locally to me.
I've always gone past and marvelled at its beauty but never been inside until recently when I attended the Christmas fair there.
What a joy it was to go. We were welcomed immediately upon arrival to the car park by a really super chap. He was so kind and pleasant. We chatted about the weather, the fair, and the church itself. He told us of the struggles to maintain the building and of the work undertaken that can't be seen from the outside, etc. It was such a lovely introduction to our visit. On entering the church, the volunteers all greeted us happily and handed out chocolate and directions.
We wandered into the main church area and were immediately blown away. It is stunning! The room has taken on a more modern airy approach, but it works so well. Gone are the old hard pews in unmovable rows. Now there is space for umpteen chairs for crowds galore.
There was plenty of room left, even with tables set up for the fair. A great big beautiful tree stood on the stage for Christmas, and the building was just lovely to stand and stare up at.
There are other rooms joined between the church building. One area is used for a nursery open to the public during term times, I think, it's called butterflies and has the best reputation in Sale. There is a cafe with a seating area.
A ramp for wheelchairs is present. Toilets are also open to all.
The car park at the front is ample but fills up extremely fast. There is parking on the main road and side roads, but be respectful and don't block driveways and corners as residents do get irritated, as would I.
A lovely place to visit and a wonderful little fair, the best bit for me after seeing the building internally was all the beautiful handmade items for sale, the knitted decorations, handsewn bunting and crocheted characters. Wonderful.

I recently took a group of students from a local Special school. The staff were amazing. They had even created an activity booklet for them to complete whilst they were there. A beautiful building and lovely staff. Nathan was a joy to listen to.
