So many huge churches in this part of Norfolk! St Mary Magdalene is another large one, with some similarities to the slightly bigger Walpole St Peter. Lots to see inside the church and there are numerous information boards placed throughout the church. There is also an excellent colour guide with a good level of detail. The south porch used to have a parvis, for visiting priests, and was large enough to be used as a school room.

A pretty church, though maybe a little overshadowed by even grander churches in the area.
Old painted panels from the chancel screen and George III arms survive at the back of the church, though rather faded.
Interesting wooden figures along the lower edges of the roof, where in other East Anglian churches there would be angels, in particular one that looks like a cross between a bishop and a cyberman.
A lot of mediaeval stained glass of saints but the panels are quite small and high up to see much detail.
(Note the Joanne Daye pictures are of St Mary Magdalen Sandringham not Wiggenhall St Mary Magdalen).

Lets get one thing out of the way, I'm no church expert. Ok, Its old (600 years apparently)although it is well kept. It is imposing with some interesting features if you like old churches/buildings/history etc. and it does god stuff. Seems well loved and a big part of the community. Everyone i met was friendly and enthusiastic.

A lovely historic church in a pretty setting. We were made very welcome by the people running the flower show and refreshments stall. A wide selection of books were also on sale to help the community.
