Bought a C4 Grand Picasso from the Portsmouth branch in Cosham and at first everything seemed rosey and straight forward. Whilst they were trying to extract my wife’s hard earned money for the car, they also sold her a 3 year extended warranty (for £700) under the pretence that EVERYTHING was covered except for the media system. Fast forward to 2 years later and we approach Richmond group in Bognor Regis with a problem with the boot and another issue with the airbag light. We were told it was boot struts that needed fixing and an airbag. The gent in question had already started a claim against these items, without instruction, and having passed the car through to the service team the car was passed back with a bill of over £600 if we wanted it done. Slightly bemused as to why this wasn’t covered by the warranty, we took our car to a trusted garage in Siddlesham for a second opinion and was told it was in fact the boot switch and the airbag module (which should both be covered under the warranty) but as Martin from Richmond Group in Bognor had already started a claim for this we couldn’t claim for the same thing twice, although it’s a completely different issue. After several phone calls, emails etc we got a final email yesterday stating that we are at fault and they are washing their hands of the claim. I very much doubt that this is how the founder of the Richmond Group expects his company to be run but never again would I buy a vehicle from these fraudsters which after our initial conversations and purchase I was hoping would be our garage of choice for future purchases.
