We hired St Kentigerns for mums Funeral
Venue it self is lovely and seats a large capacity only downside you can’t have access to the kitchens, not sure why when we used professional caterers but it is what it is
I gave 3 stars because I found Lisa who we booked the hall with very unhelpful especially at a difficult time when we are grieving, I am not sure why this happened
Anything we asked for was a problem
Receiving text messages after 10pm a week before mums Funeral with a change of plan that we could not dress the hall the night before as agreed was not acceptable or professional and caused a lot of stress at a difficult time
a phone call to say she had taken a booking at the time the booking was taken would of been more professional and probably shown more compassion so we could discuss a plan not to be told we could dress the hall on the day of the funeral we were in tears and in panic mode, how was this helpful
Being charged £50 to clear the tables of plates etc due to their recycling policy was fine but to be told on the night that she will only fill 5 binbags was unacceptable, this was not disclosed at the time of booking so in the end my friends ending up having to take bags away with them
£10 per binbag shocking

So my top tip to anyone going to hiring is
Check with your Caterers. Hall Dressers, DJ’s exactly what they need and what time they need to access the hall prior to meeting with Lisa because if you need to change anything she isn’t very accommodating and you don’t need this when you are grieving or for any other event
I would of given 5 Stars if it wasn’t for the poor customer service and maybe hire staff to clear away if you are promoting £50 to clear tables

Great centre. There is a car park on-site. There is a large function room with a stage, bar and wooden dance floor. There are several other smaller rooms available for hire as well. The centre is near to Southern Cemetery - I have been to several funerals here as well as social occasions. I would recommend St Kentigern’s for any type of function.

St Kent’s is near to Southern Cemetery so is in a good spot for wakes. There is a spacious car park on-site. The function room is large and has a bar and stage. Everything is on one level indoors.

We held a charity 'Fun Day' at St Kents and it really was the perfect location for us!! Kevin and all their staff are so accommodating and gave us the freedom we needed to make our event a success! We raised almost £500 on the day thanks to the extremely helpful team there. 100% recommend this venue for any events!! They even got the local Bag pipe band to perform at the end which everyone loved!!

The Manager was rude to guests.
Charging us for full cans of drink then keeping half gor other drinks.
.The white spirits were very weak. As if watered down.
She claimed the party were
"Pissing her off"
She struggled with a medium drinks order. I thought she was a new Barmaid when I placed my drinks order. Anyway wouldn't use venue again.

Had the best experience ever today ! Thank you so much to the manger of St Kent’s in Fallow field . Lisa went the extra mile in making us all feel welcome . We would definitely go back , beautifully clean with a warm safe atmosphere. Thank you so much from all the Lidl mudders #blessed

Not been in for many years and this was for a funeral. Anyway nicely decorated a big improvement. Staff efficient and respectful of the occasion

Hired the larger room. Kevin was very helpful with question's before the hire.
A lovely large room, staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.
I highly recommend this venue.
Communication was great.
