This charity charges so much for their services I simply could not afford it. There one to one services cost upwards of £50 per hour plus travelling time and costs. Then there is a groups. Meeting up and walking to a pub or a cinema or whatever. Paying for your transport, cost of active food drink etc. But then paying an extortionate amount for the privilege of being in the group. First a membership fee then about £50 /£100 or more for privilege of being able to go to the pub with others with autism and a volunteer.

This is a support fee which varies on cost. So what is the support fee for? The charity regularly asks or money to support autistic people and families but they charge them a fortune so what is donation for? As an older person. Am not interested in dungeons or dragons or escape rooms. It is geared towards gamers and role play for young people. The charity is about raising as much funds as possible whilst charging people so much it would be impossible for people on benefits to afford which many autistic people are. It is sad there a no autistic charges in Greater Manchester as this is too expensive and inaccessible for people who don't live in Stretford.

This service doesn't do anything charitable. It's a business. It charges a high amount to access any kind of support. It is mainly a social group for young males. Going to escape rooms, gaming, pub nights type of things. So not only do you have to bring your own money for the activity but you have to pay them for the pleasure of going to the activity around £25-£50 for privilege of going to a pub or a pizza which you pay for as well. Even watching a DVD. It's a rip off. They ar based in Stretford so not suitable for many who dont have transport or live in other areas. Even their drop ins cost money. Were taking a lot of money. Plus one to one support about £50 per hour.
Yet they still ask for donations and say "this will pay for an activity session for an older person please donate £50." So where does this money go if they charge people for these sessions? It's not true it will pay for a session. More like admin costs.
They seem to be obsessed with celebrities and put posts on with a lot of toxic positivity, blinkered to the reality to people living with discrimination and exclusion because they are autistic. This is more of an organisation for young people with parents with deep pockets.

About a year ago my son left I am and they’re still asking for us to pay them for fees which were from last year. And also I add the rooms are run down old and the children were horrible to my son I would personally not recommend this group for any of your children

Have only dealt with (I am) for a short period and and I found them to be really nice and helpful and provide excellent services for those on the spectrum. Special shout out to Janine who was there for me during a very low point and to Wendy who you can see is truly in the job because she cares and not just the pay cheque good work ladies keep it.

I was very disappointed with this service. It was recommended by the organisation that diagnosed my Autism. I called them and the woman that answered the call said I don’t sound very autistic and that I sounded high functioning. Totally ableist language. I think it’s disgraceful that they receive public funding to actively not support autistic people.

As a charity with a limited budget, it manages to provide an excellent service from their limited resources. The adult members are treated with the respect due to adults, and the staff are very approachable and tolerant of most of the members quirks, but will expect consideration of the needs and feelings of other people.

Not a great experience. Some nice staff, but it feels more like a business than a support service. There are better groups in Greater Manchester.
