Such a great little park!
All staff were friendly and helpful and looked so at home caring for the animals. Yes it is a small park but with so many species I've never seen before, it certainly puts quality over quantity. The fossa is amazing to see. The indoor exhibits were larger than I expected and really enjoyed them.
From the shop, we bought two slices of brownie, a magnet and a pin badge which only cost £12. All money well spent to keep this place going!
If you can pay gift aid when entering, you really should. This entry fee was offered without the option of the extra gift aid but we saw from the website and offered to pay at the till.
Development work was still going on so can't wait to come back once all the work is finished!

A hidden gem with a relaxed atmosphere and a surprising variety of species. During my visit I photographed an Arctic fox, Mbu pufferfish, Demoiselle crane, Dik Dik, Meerkats, and several other well-cared-for animals. The enclosures were thoughtfully designed, and the animals appeared calm and content.

Catering was excellent—generous portions, fair prices, and a proper northern beef pie that wouldn’t look out of place at a country show. The open-air picnic area made for a perfect lunch spot.

Highly recommended for photographers, families, or anyone after a peaceful day out among wildlife.

Must see.

Many animals have a very close, clear view. There are also access areas to certain attractions that bring you closer to the animals within their homes.

This cost around £11 per person.

2nd time here. unfortunately only one snow leopard now as his mate passed away (17yrs old ) Excellent enclosures which allows you to get very close to all of the animals. All of the animals are extremely well looked after.some of the staff are extremely helpful knowledgeable about the wildlife they look after, others are not ,tge lady who was putting a new rail of butterfly chrysalis in the cabinet couldn't even acknowledge me let alone speak which I thought was quite rude if nothing else.
The young lady in the overpriced shop left me to find the right box to 2 expensive whiskey glasses despite no other visitors in the area, umm, what would have happened if I had broken anything whilst looking?
5 *for the animals given otherwise I would have given 3*
Easy parking with easy walking pathways around the animals.

This is a wonderful little place, the young an passionate managers are a breath of fresh air and their clear love for the animals is heartwarming. They have not tried to cram as many exhibits as they can for the benefit of people but have put the animals first. The Collections Manager is knowledge and provides fascinating information about the creatures. Reasonably priced and fabulous attraction

Our favourite little zoo in the Lakes! Have lovely it is, and how lovely the employees are. We felt very welcome. Being a lovely day in August, the zoo was fairly busy, yet we were not rushed at all. We managed to see most of the animals, and even enjoyed our lunch here too. Our 18 month old was really happy, walking around showing us all the animals! Absolutely magical. Hope to return again one day.

Nice little zoo with a few different animals such as Arctic foxes. Expect to spend a couple of hours here. Decent price, approx £11 odd each. Has a small shop and cafe too. The tunnel through the snow leopard enclosure is a nice idea, just a shame you can barely see out of it, especially given that there was a snow leopard sat on top of it when we walked through! There's a small aquarium, insects, indoor animals, and outdoor enclosures. They're currently doing building work outside, so part of it is cordoned off, but doesn't block off any of the animals. The lemur walkthrough was closed when we visited. Plenty of interactive activities for children too.
