EWF has had a great impact on my children - they’ve been training with Jo since 2021 and love her sessions. Jo’s leadership is fantastic - she has introduced lots of different types of classes within the standard membership, and really encourages children (and adults) of every age group and ability to achieve the best they can, with a perfect mix of respect, discipline and fun. There is a nice sense of community within EWF too, where students who have achieved higher belts take part in sessions to support and train with other students. My children are so enthusiastic about improving and working towards each belt. I also appreciate that EWF is flexible when you can’t make a session and give you the option to book alternative days when needed. Can’t rate it enough.

EWF is a great place to learn Karate. It’s not just about the teaching, it’s about making friends, and Jo who runs EWF is like the head of the Grantham EWF family. Jo has taught my sons since my eldest was 4 and 2 of my sons have since started with 1 more left to start in September. Last year(2024) Jo got the parents involved in some self defence lessons, which has now moved on to us training and testing for Belts too.
I would recommend EWF to all my friends. It’s been great for my kids and just as great for me too!

My little boy absolutely loves martial arts. Jo is amazing, she was so patient with my little boy. When he first started attending classes he was very shy but Jo was so good with him to make sure he settles in. My 5 year enjoys it a lot. Also I find it amazing how Jo makes every child to listen to her instructions.Would definitely recommend it 😊🥋

We have been absolutely blown away by our experience with EWF. We brought our 4 year old son for karate lessons. Jo was so patient, understanding and engaging, helping him to overcome his shyness and participate. The classes are brilliantly designed for little people and we loved watching him get 'into it'. There are plenty of toys in the waiting area for any siblings you may need to bring along too which is a really thoughtful and brilliant idea. Can't recommend Jo and EWF Grantham enough, we think they are just superb.
