It’s fascinating that such old piece of history still remains open and available to the public to visit freely. Tucked away surrounded by an housing estate is this amazing Roman fort, although not much left standing it’s incredible to think what once did. I was astonished to see it hadn’t been vandalised like most of the other locations in Great Yarmouth area. We came here as part of a historic walk map of Caister learning more about the local history. Although we didn’t, there is free parking.

Great little place if you are passing by and have 10-15 minutes to spare. Good lay-by right outside so parking straightforward. Free entry, and it's a quite small site but the information boards give a good impression of what the roman camp would have looked like. Still some impressively thick walls remaining.

Drove past it twice then realised where it was. The info boards are well informative and you can see where you would of been stood if time travel was a thing. Would love to go metal detecting here.

We initially drove straight past the site. There is very little signage so don't miss the pull in. We parked in the lay-by and walked around the ruins and read the information plaques. We stayed for about 20 minutes and felt that we had fully seen everything there was to see. Interesting place. I'm glad we visited.

Lovely field of roman ruins, open all the time, park in the lay-by as no on site parking, literally in the houses, no facilities, but it's free, probably spend about 30 mins here, there are a couple of info boards telling you the history, locals use it to walk their dogs.
Nice intact cobbled alley. You need to use your imagination too, you can still see the ditch that went all the way around.
Even though there isn't much here, was still quite interesting.
