Really nice place with the shops, cafes, restaurants and events going on inside.

Clean tidy place and has toilets, lifts and stairs to access the shops on the higher floors.

Car parks nearby plus Halifax shopping centre is next door.

Well worth a visit.

This really is a fascinating place. Vibrant with plenty of heritage, well worth a visit to Halifax just for this!
It's crammed full of craft vendors of all types. The ground floor is home to eateries and bars. The smell of pizza was enticing and the queue for it spoke for itself. If you get a chance, make the trip, you won't be disappointed.

What an amazing space a huge square with shops all the way round on 3 levels we were there with the Victory celebrations coming up and there was a great atmosphere in the place so many independant traders ,restaurants coffee houses and stalls in the centre . If we lived in the area we would visit every 2 or 3 days.

The Easter market was lovely a great venue. Would definitely recommend. The little shops are different selling thing you dont see everywhere.

Visually, the Piece Hall venue looks amazing, especially after dark. It's essentially a large courtyard surrounded by sandstone Georgian warehouses. Beautifully lit, it's open air, so sound quality will vary depending on conditions. AIR sounded pretty good and the gig looked stunning. All the staff were super-helpful and friendly. Halifax is a lovely town, btw, and everyone seemed friendly to talk to.
If I had a quibble...I'm not convinced the balcony tickets we had were worth the extra cost. Yeah, you'd stay dry if it was raining, but the balcony is just a fairly narrow corridor overlooking the square and quite far back from the stage with no seating. If you go to the bar or toilet, chances are someone will have nicked your spot by the time you get back Also, £16 for a pint and a vodka and coke from plastic glasses is a bit of a liberty. Toilet provision is very limited for balcony users. There are 4 or 5 individual toilets that were unisex as far as I could tell, and there was a queue at the end.
Apart from that, I think this is a great venue and lovely to visit during the day. Really nice shops and good food.
