It was a pleasure to visit this kitchen garden that is centrally located on the main road and easily accessible by public transport. Though very small in size, it has a variety of fruit and vegetable plants. The shed titled Chicken was empty that day. I learned the names of different plants thanks to the educative tour with an elderly volunteer Mr Duncan to whom I am grateful. Some plants had labeling but some did not. Lot of empty beds in the green/covered shed! A few persons were present there around afternoon engaged in gardening activities. I understand that National Trust was given the land for kitchen garden by a philonthropic lady.

Showing gratitude to that donor lady, 'Cultivate London' that manages this place and National Trust which probably owns the land should:
1. Rename the garden in the name of the lady donor,
2. Add a all weather proof bust of the donor, and
3. Add a bit of educative posters or charts about the origin, purpose and running of this small kitchen garden for the benefit of visitors.

If one wants to promote kitchen gardening, the managers should provide at least a smll sapling or a few seeds free to the visitors. Else it is just like a garden centres' private nurseries which sell plants/seeds, though this community garden is run with public donations and tax payer funds.

Very peaceful and free place to visit. Anybody can come and enjoy. Some Hens are there to entertain the kids. Lots of information is given by the very friendly staff, friendly atmosphere throughout. Free plants and produce is handed out at the end while everyone leaves, we are lucky to have such a place in Hounslow. Looking forward to attend a few workshops with them.

A fairly small but absolutely fascinating productive garden on the main road between Hounslow and Isleworth. A small regency house and grounds were left to the National Trust a few years ago. The house is privately rented but it's garden has been turned into a vegetable and fruit garden with volunteer assistance and the help of Cultivate London. It's wheelchair accessible and there are raised beds, poly tunnel etc.
Check out their website and maybe offer to help or ask to visit.?
I believe the produce is available to buy in season and it's all organic!
