0 zero stars. I waited in the call queue over the phone for 3 hours only for them to hang up on me before I could connect to anyone. As someone said before, if you live in the richer areas they are willing to use our tax money to improve things there. Good luck getting them to help anyone in Cranford, Feltham, Hanworth etc. Give me money back. Why am I paying you out of my income and paying council tax for a bunch of nothing and no help? I am sure there are hardworking individuals who work for the council, but the council itself is a disgrace.

Hounslow House, located on Bath Road, Hounslow, London, is the headquarters of the Hounslow Borough Council. This municipal building was designed to be more accessible to the public compared to the former Hounslow Civic Centre, which became economically unsustainable to manage.

**Architecture and Layout**
The building was developed by Linkcity and opened in 2017. The modern and functional structure was built on a site previously occupied by a parking lot. The architecture is clean and welcoming, with large windows allowing plenty of natural light to enter, creating a pleasant and productive working environment.

**Services and Accessibility**
Hounslow House is my favorite place to study. Open every day, it’s perfect for those like me who need quiet spaces to study. The library is well-equipped, with many books and plenty of tables for studying, reading, etc. By registering, you can use the PCs, which is excellent. There’s also a very useful printing service. On the lower floor, there’s a café perfect for breaks, and they often organize job training courses and art exhibitions in this building.

**Work Environment**
The interiors are well designed, with open spaces and meeting areas that encourage collaboration and communication among employees. The meeting rooms are well-equipped, and the public rooms are comfortable and welcoming.

**Conclusion**
Hounslow House is an excellent example of a modern and functional municipal building designed to best serve the community's needs. With its welcoming design and efficient services, it stands as a benchmark for similar projects.

I am writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with the treatment I have received from the Housing Officers of Hounslow Council over the past four years. Despite repeated attempts to engage with the department, I have been subjected to neglect, discrimination, and misconduct that have severely impacted my safety, security, and ability to live independently in my property.

Key Concerns:

Neglect of Duty of Care:

Housing Officers consistently ignore communications, fail to return calls, and avoid addressing urgent concerns.

Repair requests remain unanswered for extended periods, compromising my living conditions.

Discrimination and Bullying:

I have experienced bullying behavior from officers.

There have been instances of homophobic remarks and discriminatory treatment, which are unacceptable and in violation of the Equality Act 2010.

Dishonesty and Lack of Transparency:

Council staff have provided false information to the Housing Ombudsman, forcing me to provide substantial evidence to refute their claims.

Professional meetings have been held without my knowledge or consent, often without minute takers, violating my right to transparency and fair process.

Failure to Address Complaints and Repairs:

Formal complaints are ignored or inadequately addressed, with no reasonable explanation or resolution.

Essential repairs affecting health and safety remain unresolved despite repeated requests.

Lack of Mental Health Awareness:

Staff demonstrate a lack of understanding and training regarding mental health issues, exacerbating the distress I have endured.

Legal Considerations:Hounslow Council has a legal obligation to uphold the following:

Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985: Duty to ensure the property is maintained to a reasonable standard.

Equality Act 2010: Prohibition of discrimination based on sexual orientation and mental health status.

Human Rights Act 1998: Right to safe, secure housing without harassment or neglect.

Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman Guidelines: Requirement for transparency, honesty, and accountability in all dealings.

Requested Actions:

Immediate investigation into the conduct of the involved Housing Officers.

Prompt response to all outstanding repair requests.

A written apology for the treatment received, along with a plan to prevent recurrence.

Comprehensive staff training in mental health awareness and anti-discrimination policies.

Clear documentation of all future meetings with the inclusion of meeting minutes.

Reception couldn’t point me toward a plug socket or even plug in my dead locked laptop due to “data protection” where do they find these people from.
The whole ground floor has not 1 socket for use. From a council that have fancy electronic entrance for their staff. Charging council tax in excess of £180 monthly. Can’t give 1 socket on the ground floor of their council building! Amazing service.. really couldn’t do any more.

More like a mobster organisation. When they make error stall everything forever. Took me 4 months to set direct debit when property is set on 2 or more owners. Occasionally council decide not to respect traffic regulation and just issue fines, which than require 6 months of writing letters to be able to get your money back. They all deserve to be jailed.

If you live in one of the more affluent parts of the Borough, you will be fine.
If you live in Chiswick, they will spend £50,000 of our money so you can have a rainbow pedestrian crossing.
But can't clear weeds in Hanworth and Feltham that have been there years.
Or if you live on the same road as a cabinet member, you should be fine too.

However, if you live on the western edge of the Borough, then forget about street cleaning, grounds maintenance, decent customer service......Look, just check the rest of the reviews.

Look at the state of the lawns 😠

They should keep call back option
Waiting like ages just to speak with someone. Got letter for payment and no contact number nor email on letter to reach to them, trying to search on google. Unfair
It looks like they don't care. Whether it's serious issue or no. They come for duty and wait to come for next day waiting for sat and sun. Because it's been really long I'm trying to get in contact with them, since I'm working i cannot visit the council. What a shame nobody answers the call

A while ago, I went to Hounslow Council with my son to ask for help with housing. Unfortunately, we were treated in a way that was both threatening and deeply upsetting. I had done nothing wrong, yet I was told that if they called the police, my child could be taken away from me. This was extremely distressing, and now my son wakes up at night from nightmares. Whenever he hears the sound of a police car, he immediately hugs me, afraid that the police have come to take him away. Their inappropriate behavior has had a serious emotional impact on my child.
