Lovely people and a great inclusive space for all kinds of people. As a disabled person it’s very important to me and many others who may find themselves isolated from more conventional services.
Their work within the theatre space is inclusive and holds diversity at its heart; I loved their piece centred on people’s varied experiences of food and what that means.
Would recommend people go see a show or join in and find out what BPT are all about for themselves!

BPT workshops are fun and playful. The team go above and beyond to provide a safe space to play and everyone is welcome. They do really vital work in our city to support people's wellbeing and connection. The BPT community is wonderful.

This is one of the friendliest and open groups that I have attended. There is no judgement from the minute you walk through the doors as a stranger. You will be welcomed by the group and the workshop leaders and made to feel at ease from the start. You might arrive as a stranger but you will leave as a friend.
The workshops are fun, creative and thought provoking. Sometimes the games might make you feel out of your comfort zone and if you don't want to join in, then it is all good and no pressure exerted. But I doubt you will feel self-conscious for long when you see how liberating it is to play and laugh and how much fun it is.
As well as learning about acting techniques and voice and movement, there is opportunity to take part in productions if you want to. Or you might prefer to only participate in the fun workshops instead. Again there will be no pressure if that is your choice.
Come along give it a try and I guarantee you will want to come back.
Look forward to seeing you

What a fantastic experience, being part of this amazing group of creative people. Everyone has been so supportive. A friendly, welcoming, inclusive and joyful space to play, learn, connect and belong. So pleased I went along to the audition. Best thing I ever did!

Having not done any 'real' acting since leaving school more than 60 years ago, I was intrigued when I was invited to go along to a workshop. But I needn't have worried - the group (of all ages, but mainly young) welcomed me with open arms and I have thoroughly enjoyed being with them - playing games, rehearsing, learning about stagecraft and eventually being on stage with them in a very joyous production in July. Whatever your age do come along and get involved - I know you will immediately feel part of a very welcoming and fun group. I look forward to meeting you!

No matter how I feel before a session I always come away energised. Connecting with people I find great fun. Seeing new people getting involved and creating in their own unique way seems to make them smile about what they can do. The atmosphere is set up to feel really relaxed and inclusive, and I've never felt pressured to do anything I didn't want to do. It's a playground for big kids.

Amazing Company, amazing people, amazing theatre.
If you want to "play" in a non-judgemental, creative supportive atmosphere with groups of people from every walk of life and experience come to Brighton Peoples theatre.
The hugely talented and experienced theatre practitioners bring out the joy and mastery of each and every individual in all that they do.
Its been such a pleasure to be part of this group.
I'd really recommend this company whether it's sitting in the audience, joining a workshop or play, being interested in being backstage support or investing in a worthwhile cause!

I loved every minute of all the rehersals. It really helped me find a community in brighton and feel at home. Working on born and bread gave me confidence and comfort to be in my own body and feel happy about who I am. It added so much joy to my weeks and so much meaning to life.
