This place used to be a wonderful home for people fighting addiction. It was known as CHARIS House but I hope that has now been removed from th door plaque now. CHARIS actually stood for something once; Come Here And Recover In Safety. Now it's just a B&B for homeless people. Certainly NOT a place to be if addressing one's addiction is what is needed. Huge shame and a mega loss for Bideford and all those desperately needing a 'safe house'.

hi i am currently in charis house in bideford and i think its an amazing place,it took me in its doors and has helped me deal with things that i need to deal with,i came to charis having been living on a mountain and they gave me a safe,clean and lovely place to be to get myself sorted,i wont forget the kindness shown to me
