Due to a small oversight during one of the worst times of my life, my housing benefit wasn’t being paid to Sovereign. Sovereign chose to wait 5 months before informing me, lumping me with the bill and forcing me to pay the arrears out of my personal account. Most housing associations send reminders the next WEEK if the rent hasn’t been paid. This has caused a great deal of misery and could have been avoided had they paid more attention to their accounts. Lazy and shameless.

Worst landlord/housing association going, and I've been with a fair few. Barely respond to repairs and defects, blame covid for 3 months of negligence, refuse to rectify flooding (1yr+) which is leading to external damp to the property, lie about communication/get out of needed work, no mental health considerations (in fact deteriorate it further) to name a few. Please be advised that caving would be a better way to go! 0/5 really ? the newly built home is dying a slow death.
UPDATE 21/03/22: I have since contacted sovereign who still will not resolve the flooding issue and the managers refuse to respond to my calls and emails.
